Meet Author, Laurel Neme, of the book “Animal Investigations”

Laurel Neme, author of the book “Animal Investigations”, will speak at the Warren Public Library on Sunday, Feb.7, at 2PM.  This lecture, geared for adults and youth over 10 years of age, gives a fascinating look at animal product smuggling and ways scientists work to stop it.  The author discusses some undercover wildlife trafficking cases and how they were solved.

Neme, living in Shelburne (VT), has worked for the U.S. Agency for International Development and the U.S. Department of Treasury.  Currently an international consultant specializing in natural resource management, she will be starting a new radio program on CSI Animal Forensics in the fall.  This educational program is free and open to the public, but we are requesting seat reservations. Please call the library (496-3913) or Gail Hietzker (583-1935) for reservations.  Light refreshments will be served.
